The short answer
Pick Raindrop.io if you use Windows, Android or an iPhone, or if you share links with other people. Pick Tejuelo if you work at a Mac all day and want a link back with one keystroke, with no account and nothing added to your browser.
I make Tejuelo, so read this with that in mind. I tried to be fair to Raindrop. Every Raindrop fact on this page comes from its own site, read on 2026-10-31.
Where Raindrop.io is better
It runs almost everywhere. Raindrop has apps for Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Android. It has a web app, and extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Tejuelo is a Mac app and nothing else. If you switch between a Mac and a PC, Raindrop is the one that follows you.
You can share. Raindrop lets you choose who can open each collection. You can also put a collection on the web for anyone to see. Tejuelo has no shared or team libraries. Your links are yours alone.
It can keep the page, not only the link. Raindrop Pro saves a copy of each page and searches its full text, PDFs included. Tejuelo keeps links. It does not save or read page content. If a site goes away, Tejuelo tells you the link is dead, and that is all.
It has more ways to sort. Raindrop has tags, filters, highlights and several views, from a grid to a plain list. Tejuelo has categories, an Inbox and Later, and one list.
Where Tejuelo fits
Getting a link back. One keystroke opens a search panel over the app you are in. Type a few letters and the link opens in your browser. Results rank by what you open, so the links you use most come first.
Saving with no extension. One keystroke saves the page you are reading, from any browser. Nothing is added to the browser. Quick Add takes a typed or pasted address without opening the window. If your links are spread over several browsers, here is how to organize bookmarks across multiple browsers on a Mac.
No account. The library syncs through your own iCloud account. There is no sign-up, and no server of mine in between.
Free where Raindrop asks for Pro. Tejuelo flags dead links and ships an MCP server, so an AI agent can add and file your bookmarks. Both are free. On Raindrop, the broken link finder and MCP are part of Pro, as of October 2026.
Small and quiet. The download is a 7 MB DMG. Tejuelo is native, lives in the menu bar, and shows a Dock icon only while a window is open.

Can you use both?
Yes. Keep Raindrop for the links you share or read on your phone. Keep Tejuelo for the links you open every day at your Mac.
One thing to know before you move a big library. Tejuelo has no importer, so the links come over one at a time. Drag a link from your browser onto a category, Later or the Inbox, and it becomes a bookmark there.
